Zimmer Marketing is proud to present our Week 2 Game of the Week with Class 5 second-ranked Webb City High School hosting Class 6 No 6 Nixa brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer repair.
The game is at Cardinal Stadium on John Roderique Field tonight at 7, but be sure to get there early because it will almost certainly be standing-room only.
“The first thing that stands out against Nixa when you look at their roster is the size of their players on both sides of the ball,” Webb City coach Ryan McFarland said. “This is just a great challenge for our kids to come out and play a big, physical, well-coached football team that is one of the top teams in Class 6 to really see where we are at as a program and how we match up.”
In the opener, Webb City jumped out in front early in the first half before pulling away to a 35-13 win over Lebanon.
Quarterback Jackson Lucas threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns, while Andrew Elwell rushed for 56 yards and a score. Joseph DeGraffenreid caught a 61-yard TD pass, Andrew Young caught two passes for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Garrett Orwell hauled in a 14-yard touchdown catch.
Nixa is coming off a 49-14 win over Republic.
