Local track and field teams take part in Bulldog Invitational

CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — The annual Bulldog Invitational track and field meet saw several local athletes from Carl Junction, New Heights Christian, Seneca, and Webb City battle it out in a field of seven teams.

BOYS RESULTS

In the boys 100-meter, Carl Junction’s Quincy Thomure claimed first with a time of 11.11 seconds, followed closely by teammate William Coats at 11.17. Seneca’s Tyrone Harris secured sixth (11.25), while New Heights Christian’s Logan Decker (11.31) and Webb City’s Heath Logan (11.43) rounded out the top 10. 

The 200 saw Thomure again shine, taking fourth (22.66), with Seneca’s Harris (23.19) and Noah Mittag (23.67) finishing seventh and eighth, respectively, and Webb City’s Aidan Kean (24.22) in ninth.

New Heights Christian’s Levi Durling earned third in the 400 (51.99), with Webb City’s Noah Lankard (52.38), Garrett Powell (54.47), and Kaden Moreland (55.54) finishing fourth, fifth, and sixth. 

Carl Junction’s Zackery Teeter took second in the 800 (2:07.14), while Webb City’s Andrew Dawson (2:11.02) placed fourth. The 1600 featured Carl Junction’s Isaac Willoughby in first (4:37.17) and Webb City’s James Dalrymple in second (4:39.00), with Willoughby also grabbing third in the 3200 (10:01.01) behind Webb City’s Lankard (9:57.92) and Dalrymple (9:59.11).

In hurdles, Carl Junction’s Bryant Hanks took third in the 300 hurdles (44.31), while Webb City’s Dalton Riggs (15.99) and M’Kyrain Ross (16.16) claimed second and third in the 110 hurdles. The 4x100 relay saw Carl Junction take first (44.18), Seneca third (44.85), New Heights Christian fourth (44.98), and Webb City fifth (45.25). 

Seneca secured second in the 4x200 relay (1:33.90), with New Heights Christian third (1:37.60). Webb City won the 4x800 relay (8:54.40), with Seneca in third (11:31.10), and took second in the 4x400 relay (3:38.07), followed by Carl Junction in third (3:46.93).

Field events were equally impressive. Carl Junction’s Jett Mills (1.88m) and Joseph Ballard (1.83m) went first and third in the high jump, with New Heights Christian’s Decker second (1.83m). Decker also won the long jump (6.86m), followed by Carl Junction’s Ryder Pyles (6.58m) and Austin Swarens (6.27m). Pyles won the triple jump (13.03m), with Webb City’s Cooper Ackerman second (12.83m). Webb City’s Brody Burkhart and Mason Bradley tied for first in the pole vault (3.18m). In throws, Webb City’s Louden Bolinger won both discus (42.01m) and Shot Put (16.26m), with Seneca’s Brock Pendergraft second in Discus (41.35m) and Carl Junction’s Gavin Beachner third in shot put (14.25m). Webb City’s Cooper White (45.57m) and Guner Eads (44.58m) took first and third in javelin, with Seneca’s Kylon Davidson second (44.6m).

GIRLS RESULTS

The girls 100 was dominated by Carl Junction’s Sydney Ward (12.25) and Olivia Battagler (12.63), with Webb City’s Alyssa Moreno third (13.24). Ward and Battagler repeated their 1-2 finish in the 200 (25.77, 26.42), with New Heights Christian’s Ella Nelson third (27.06). Seneca’s Cambry Long won the 400 (1:04.28), followed by teammates Anna Adkins (1:05.13) and Grace Elliott (1:07.79) in second and fourth.

Carl Junction’s Elsa Dogotch won the 800 (2:39.66), with Webb City’s Kristina Bundy second (2:42.61) and New Heights Christian’s Marla Anderegg third (2:43.74). Webb City swept the 1600 podium with Bundy (6:02.01), Amelia Antillon (6:09.87), and Rachel Miller (6:10.65). Carl Junction’s Marissa Newman won the 3200 (12:32.01), followed by Webb City’s Aspen Ritchie (13:12.97) and Antillon (13:48.21).

In hurdles, Seneca’s Jacie Bard won the 100 hurdles (18.12), with Carl Junction’s Emma Adkins second (18.27) and Webb City’s Sydney Eck third (18.46). Carl Junction’s Bella Montez won the 300 hurdles (49.22), followed by Eck (52.10) and Adkins (53.20). The 4x100 relay went to Carl Junction (50.97), with Webb City second (51.67) and Seneca third (53.30). Seneca won the 4x200 relay (1:50.55), followed by Carl Junction (1:50.84) and Webb City (1:53.37). Carl Junction took the 4x400 relay (4:12.72) and 4x800 relay (10:52.55), with Seneca second in both (4:22.13, 13:05.22) and Webb City third in the 4x400 (4:27.42).

In field events, Webb City’s Chase Stilley won the high jump (1.6m) and long jump (4.93m), with Seneca’s Hadley Hilburn third in both (1.5m, 4.67m) and Carl Junction’s Delaney Harris third in long jump (4.62m). Seneca’s Marylynn Gil won the triple jump (9.78m), with teammate Olivia Wade second (8.97m) and Webb City’s Mary Adefuye third (8.84m). 

Carl Junction’s Brooke Jasperson won the pole vault (3.05m). Seneca’s Jolie King won the discus (34.06m), with Webb City’s Kaelyn Maxwell (29.95m) and Adalyn Maxwell (28.88m) second and third. Carl Junction’s Madilyn Olds won the javelin (43.61m), with teammate Bella Montez third (34.24m). Webb City’s Jocelyn Maxwell (11.25m) and Adalyn Maxwell (10.13m) took first and second in the shot put.
