CARL JUNCTION, Mo. – The Central Ozark Conference (COC) West golf tournament at Briarbrook Golf Course was dominated by Neosho in the team aspect, but several local golfers also saw strong finishes.
Neosho's standout performance secured them the top spot with a team total of 313, outpacing Republic (319), Willard (326), Joplin (342), Webb City (343), Carthage (361), and Parkview (459).
Jaxon Ertel led the Wildcats with an impressive 76, placing him among the tournament’s top individual scorers in second place. Camp Ramsey (78) placed in a tie for fourth overall, Colby Shadwick (79) tied for seventh, and Max Combs (80) tied for ninth.
Joplin’s Toby Ipsen’s 80 and Grey Edwards’ 85 were good enough for a tie for ninth and 15th. Taylor McMillian (88) and Jordan Bozarth (89) provided solid support.
Webb City, finishing fifth with 343, was led by Jackson Lucas, who carded a stellar 77, finishing in third place. Jackson Picket (86) and Ethan Goosetree (87) rounded out the Cardinals top scores.
Carthage, posting a team total of 361, leaned on Luke Lewis’ solid 82 and Micah Brust’s 89. Cael Perry shot 94 and Jack Carlton carded a 96.
Elsewhere, Republic’s Cason Bekemeier earned the tournament’s lowest individual score with a 75.
