Carl Junction golf takes third as a team

BOLIVAR, Mo. — The Carl Junction boys golf team delivered a stellar performance at the Class 4 State Golf Tournament held at Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club, finishing third overall with a two-day team score of 620 (312-308). 

Competing against a strong field, the Bulldogs earned a podium finish behind Summit Christian Academy (587) and Poplar Bluff (605).

Leading the charge for Carl Junction was senior Jack Spencer, who tied for fifth place individually with a two-day total of 147 (72-75). Spencer’s steady play, including an opening-round 72, set the tone for the team’s success. 

Junior Logan Lowry also stood out, carding a 151 (78-73) to tie for eighth place. Lowry’s second-round 73 was one of the best scores of the day, highlighting his ability to rebound under pressure.

Sophomore Cohen Elick contributed a solid 161 (77-84), while freshman Brock Spencer added a 169 (85-84), showing promise for the future. Senior Austin Baker rounded out the scoring with a 167 (91-76), posting a team-best 76 on the second day.

WEBB CITY HIGHLIGHTS

Jackson Lucas finished in a tie for 36th after carding an 83-80—163, while Jackson Pickett closed with a 93-91—184 to finish in 94th.
