Shadowcats use big inning to beat Outlaws

A six-run inning from Sherman led the Shadowcats to a 6-0 win over Joplin on Thursday.

The win moves Sherman to 10-1 this season, while Joplin falls to 7-3.

Karson Atkins had two hits and two RBI, while Korson Hastings had a hit and drove in two for the Shadowcats.

Joplin was limited to three hits in the loss.

Gunner Greene earned the win on the mound after pitching two relief innings, striking out three.

Ty Zahradnick took the loss after allowing two earned runs on seven hits and 10 strikeouts.

Joplin is back at it tonight, hosting the Texarkana Rhinos with a 7:05 matchup on Friday and Saturday before squaring off at 6:05 on Sunday.
