Joplin scored nine straight runs on the way to a 9-6 win over Sherman on Tuesday.
The Outlaws trailed 1-0 in before scoring once in the third inning, three times in the fourth, two more in the sixth before wrapping with three runs touching home in the seventh for a 9-1 advantage. Sherman scored five times in the eighth but got no closer to the lead.
Ty Zahradnick earned the win on the mound after allowing one run on three hits and nine strikeouts in six innings of work.
Marcus Young earned his third save with one walk in an inning of work.
Murchael Turner led Joplin with three hits, a run scored and an RBI. Evan Aslaksen had two hits and three RBI. Cy Darnell had two hits and drove in two, while Landin Midgett had a hit and drove in a pair.
