TimberHogs knock off Outlaws

Piney Woods rallied with three runs in the bottom of the 10th inning to earn a 6-4 walk-off win over Joplin on Thursday.

Aramis Cruz, who finished with three hits, launched a three-run homer in the 10th to send the TimberHogs home with the win.

Maverick Williamson homered and drove in two for the Outlaws in the loss. Blake Wilson and Finn Kaiyala each had a hit and drove in one.

Parker Wilson started and took a no-decision for Joplin after allowing one run on four hits and four strikeouts in five innings. Marcus Young took the loss in relief after allowing four runs, two earned, on three hits and a walk in 2 1/3 innings.

Tahj Cunningham earned the win in relief for Piney Woods.

The Outlaws are back on the road tonight against the TimberHogs with a 7 p.m. matchup.
