The Joplin Outlaws got back into the win column with a 13-0 rout in seven innings of the Piney Woods Timberhogs at Joe Becker Stadium on Wednesday.
Joplin scored three times in the first inning and six more runs in the second to build an insurmountable cushion on the way to the victory.
Lucas Vanlanduit, a Carl Junction product, earned the complete-game win on the bump for the Outlaws after pitching seven scoreless innings, scattering two hits, walking two and striking out six.
Finn Kaiyala had a monster game at the plate for Joplin. He went deep twice in the win, hitting a two-run homer in the first inning before launching a grand slam in the second inning to finish the game with six RBI.
Murchael Turner hit a three-run home run and tallied four RBI and two runs scored in the win.
Ravaughn Morgan added three hits and scored three runs, while Luke Graham had two hits and scored twice.
Joplin hosts Piney Woods tonight at 7:05 at Joe Becker Stadium.
