Late burst sends Joplin past Sherman

The Joplin Outlaws rallied with an eight-run eighth inning to beat the Sherman Shadowcats 9-1 on Tuesday.

Joplin used an RBI singles from Tyler Brodrick, Evan Aslaksen and Blake Wilson as well as a three-run double from Finn Kaiyala to fuel the eight-run eighth inning.

Conner Johnson earned the win for the Outlaws after allowing one run on five hits, three walks and 10 punchouts in six innings of work. 

Dashiell Tischer took the loss in relief after allowing three runs on three hits in two innings.

Andre Jackson II had two hits and scored a run, while Aslaksen finished with two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.
