Joplin Outlaws crush Fort Smith Marshals 25-4 in season finale

FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Joplin Outlaws closed out the 2025 regular season in explosive fashion, demolishing the Fort Smith Marshals 25-4.

The Outlaws wasted no time, jumping to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Andre Jackson II scored on a Tyler Brodrick single, followed by Ravaughn Morgan’s RBI groundout.

Joplin’s offense erupted, scoring in seven of nine innings, including a staggering 14-run ninth.

Mark Ross II led the charge, going 5-for-6 with four RBIs and four runs scored, including a pair of doubles. Morgan was equally impressive, finishing 5-for-7 with three RBIs and three runs. Tyler Brodrick added a home run and three RBIs, while Garrett Springer contributed four RBIs, including a two-RBI single in the ninth. The Outlaws’ lineup was relentless, with every starter reaching base and six players recording multiple hits.

On the mound, Joplin’s Landon Fletcher earned the win, tossing six innings and allowing three runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Marcus Young and Andre Jackson II handled relief duties, with Jackson II also shining at the plate, going 4-for-7 with two RBIs and four runs scored.

The ninth inning was a microcosm of the game’s lopsided nature. Joplin sent 18 batters to the plate, exploiting Fort Smith’s defensive miscues and piling on 14 runs. Errors by Giacinti and the Marshals’ pitching staff opened the floodgates, with Ross, Morgan, and Springer delivering key hits to cap the rout.

Joplin opens the postseason as the top seed and hosts the Texarkana Rhinos in the semifinals at 7:05 on Tuesday.
