Webb City cross country runner Brooke Hedger and Carl Junction soccer player Nolan Couk have been named this week’s Zimmer Marketing’s Male and Female Athletes of the Week brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair.
Hedger defended her SWCCCA title and broke her school record, running 18:07.27 to finish in first place. She helped lead the girls team to a second place finish out of 36 teams, giving the team their best finish in program history.
Couk, a senior, had a memorable game in a 4-0 win over Webb City on Sept. 2, scoring three goals and totaling six points. Couk added another goal a day later in a 3-0 win over Central.
