WEBB CITY, MO – Webb City volleyball made quick work of Glendale in a 3-0 sweep (25-21, 25-15, 26-24) at home on Monday.
The Cardinals move to 4-1 on the season with the win.
Marlee Harper led the charge with an impressive 12 kills on 25 attempts, hitting at a .400 clip, while adding 2 service aces and a block for a team-high 15.0 points. Kaelyn Maxwell and Jaylee VanBecelaere each contributed 7 kills, with Maxwell hitting an efficient .333 and VanBecelaere adding 11 digs. Setter Savannah Crane orchestrated the offense with 31 assists, 4 kills, and 3 service aces, while libero Avery Gardner anchored the defense with 26 digs.
The Cardinals’ attack was relentless, totaling 40 kills with a .239 hitting percentage across three sets. Their defensive effort shone with 67 digs and 2.0 total blocks, limiting Glendale’s scoring opportunities. Webb City’s strongest set came in the second, hitting .263 with 16 kills, while the tightly contested third set saw them edge out Glendale 26-24.
