SENECA, Mo. – The Seneca volleyball team put up a fight but ultimately fell to Cassville in a five-set match on Tuesday night, 25-21, 16-25, 25-12, 21-25 and 5-15.
The Indians started strong, taking the first set 25-21, but Cassville responded in the second, pulling ahead 25-16. Seneca regained momentum in the third set with a dominant 25-12 victory, only for Cassville to even the score in the fourth, 25-21. In the decisive fifth set, Cassville surged to a 15-5 win, securing the match.
Anna Adkins led the defense with an impressive 26 digs, while also contributing three aces and five kills. Emma Darnell orchestrated the offense with 30 assists, keeping the team’s attack in rhythm. Maddy Hembree powered through with nine kills, and Olivia Leonard added five kills and two block kills to anchor the net. Bella Middick chipped in with five kills, and Olivia Haase bolstered the backline with 18 digs. Chloe Darnell also made her presence felt with five kills and two block kills, while Harley Lankford served up three aces.
