WEBB CITY, Mo. – The Webb City volleyball team showcased their prowess on Tuesday, defeating Central in a commanding 3-0 sweep with set scores of 27-25, 25-14 and 25-13.
The Cardinals came out firing in the first set, edging out a hard-fought 27-25 win despite nine attack errors, powered by 18 kills. They found their rhythm in the second set, cruising to a 25-14 victory with a stellar .419 hitting percentage, led by 14 kills and only one error. The third set saw Webb City maintain control, closing out the match 25-13 with nine kills.
Leading the charge was Marlee Harper, who delivered a standout performance with 12 kills on 19 attempts for a .632 hitting percentage, adding a block solo, two block assists, and a service ace. Kaelyn Maxwell was equally dominant, contributing nine kills with a .750 hitting percentage, two block solos, and 11 points. Addy Maxwell added nine points with eight kills and a block solo, while Savannah Crane orchestrated the offense with 31 assists, six kills, and five service aces, totaling 11 points. Jaylee VanBecelaere chipped in five kills, and Allie Collard provided defensive stability with 11 serve receptions and six digs.
Webb City is 5-1 on the season and takes part in the Branson/Camdenton/Webb City/Willard Scramble this weekend.
