CARTHAGE, Mo. — The ECarthage Invite at Carthage Golf Course saw Glendale claim the team title with a score of +43, but local teams Carthage, Webb City, Joplin, Carl Junction, Neosho, and Seneca all took part with strong showings.

Carthage Secures Second Place

Carthage High School’s varsity team delivered an impressive second-place finish with a team score of +79. Leading the Tigers was Addie Foust, who carded a 72 (+1), earning second place individually. Molly Comer contributed a solid 88 (+17), while Brooke Detherage (101, +30) and Milana Decresecenzo (102, +31) rounded out the scoring. Bella Holmes’ 104 (+33) was not included in the team total but showed Carthage’s depth. The Tigers’ strong performance positions them as a team to watch this season.

Webb City Takes Third

Webb City finished third with a team score of +91. Violet Haut led the Cardinals with an 85 (+14), followed by Brooklyn Cartwright’s 94 (+23). Clare Zahm (97, +26) and Irelynn Miles (99, +28) completed the scoring, while Cassie Collins’ 114 (+43) was not counted. Webb City’s consistent play kept them in the top tier, highlighting their potential for future tournaments.

Joplin Claims Fifth

Joplin’s Eagles posted a team score of +115 to secure fifth place. Scarlett Satterlee led with an 84 (+13), tying for fifth individually. Ava Horton added a 91 (+20), and Ava Benedict scored 102 (+31). Emery Obermiller’s 122 (+51) completed Joplin’s effort, with Leighton Davis’ 125 (+54) not counted. The Eagles showed resilience and promise, setting a foundation for growth.

Carl Junction Battles to Seventh

Carl Junction earned seventh place with a team score of +120. Lyric Belcher led with a 95 (+24), followed closely by Riley Matyi’s 96 (+25). Katie Miller (103, +32) and Hadley Lawver (110, +39) contributed to the Bulldogs’ total, while Kallie Fredrickson’s 124 (+53) was not included. Carl Junction’s balanced effort underscored their competitive spirit.

Neosho Finishes in Top Ten

Neosho landed in 10th place with a team score of +144. Grace Weston and Bella Bentz led with scores of 102 (+31) and 103 (+32), respectively. Kaylynn Pruitt (111, +40) and Jolie Bond (112, +41) rounded out the scoring, with Aspen Drake’s 121 (+50) not counted. Neosho’s players showed determination, with room to improve as the season progresses.

Seneca Rounds Out Local Teams

Seneca finished 14th with a team score of +186. Ellie Olson led with a 97 (+26), followed by Madi Auman’s 104 (+33). Emri Marrs (132, +61) and Quincy Mantle (137, +66) completed the scoring. Seneca’s effort highlighted their resolve, with Olson’s performance a bright spot for the team.
