Seneca's Jamros, CJ's Lopez-Durman named athletes of the week

Seneca softball player Abby Jamros and Carl Junction football player Marcus Lopez-Durman have been named the Zimmer Marketing Male and Female Athletes of the Week brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair.

Jamros had an impressive week in the circle. She commanded the game in both district wins, 4-3 over Monett and 2-0 over Rogersville. She allowed three runs, one earned, on two hits and struck out 10 in four innings against the Cubs, while tossing a complete game on four hits and nine strikeouts in seven frames against the Wildcats. On top of that, Jamros doubled on the way to two hits and a run scored and had a triple, two hits and two runs scored at the plate against Monett.

Lopez-Durman led the Bulldogs in their 44-7 win over Bolivar on Friday. He rushed 24 times in the win and accumulated 209 rushing yards to go along with a score on the ground.
