Thomas Jefferson cross country runner Will Twiss and Webb City cross county runner Aracelia Perez are this week’s Zimmer Marketing’s Male and Female Athletes of the Week brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair.
Twiss, a sophomore, finished in third place in the Class 2 District 2 run. He crossed the finish line in 16 minutes, 30.74 seconds. Twiss was 18 seconds off the pace for first place.
Perez, a junior, earned a top-five finish in the Class 5 District 2 run to qualify for the state meet. Perez crossed the finish line in fifth place in a time of 18 minutes, 42:81 seconds.
