BUFFALO, Mo. — The Carthage Tigers wrestling program delivered a dominant performance at a quad dual meet on Tuesday at Buffalo High School, sweeping all three opponents with both boys and girls teams going undefeated on the night.

Boys Results

The Carthage boys opened with an 84-0 shutout over Fair Grove, earning forfeits in several weights and quick pins, including Jace Nichols (138 lbs) in 50 seconds, Lenny Escobar (175 lbs) in 21 seconds, and Anthony Smith (190 lbs) in 38 seconds.

Against Strafford, the Tigers secured a 54-24 victory, highlighted by falls from Jace Nichols (138 lbs) in 1:43, Mason Artym (144 lbs) in 1:48, and Lenny Escobar (175 lbs) in 52 seconds.

Carthage closed strong with a 65-18 win over host Buffalo, featuring rapid pins by Denis Velasquez (126 lbs) in 1:44, Jace Nichols (138 lbs) in 1:12, and Anthony Smith (190 lbs) in 42 seconds.

Girls Results

The Carthage girls also posted convincing 66-12 wins across all three duals.

Against Fair Grove, standout performances included Ari Morga Zaldivar (115 lbs) pinning in 53 seconds, Diana Juarez (125 lbs) in 50 seconds, and Emely Hernandez Guzman (130 lbs) in 1:12.

The Tigers handled Strafford 66-12, with Diana Juarez earning a swift 34-second fall at 125 lbs and Kaylee James pinning at 140 lbs in 1:39.

In the matchup with Buffalo, Carthage again triumphed 66-12, overcoming individual losses with strong showings like Zeilah Cifuentes (120 lbs) in 2:21 and Arianna Medrano (170 lbs) in 2:40.

The perfect night boosts Carthage's momentum early in the season as both programs build toward district and state competition.
