Webb City swimmer Norah Klosterman and basketball player Hudson Mattheisen were named the Zimmer Marketing’s Female and Male Athlete of the Week brought to you by JL Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair.
Klosterman, a senior, was instrumental in the Cardinals’ COC West-clinching performance last weekend. Klosterman won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:43.27, nearly half a minute faster than the competition. She added second place in the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:07.57. Klosterman was also a part of the second-place 200 freestyle relay team and the 400 freestyle relay teams.
Matthiesen, a senior, scored 11 points to go along with three rebounds and three steals on the defensive end in the Cardinals’ 64-50 win over Fort Scott in the Raider Classic last weekend. In Frontenac, Kansas. Matthiesen finished the tournament with a team-leading 17-point effort. He added six rebounds and two assists along with two steals.
