Odessa claimed the team title with 130.5 points, narrowly edging out Seneca's strong 127.5-point performance for second place, followed by Mexico (121) and Savannah (108.5). Seneca's Indians stood out with three individual state champions, a runner-up, and a sixth-place finisher, marking a banner year for the program.

Seneca junior Caden Groom captured gold at 132 pounds, rallying in a thrilling sudden-victory overtime match to defeat Graden Anderson of Father Tolton Regional Catholic 11-4 (SV-1). Groom, entering with a 43-3 record, showcased resilience and strong technique to secure the title.

At 144 pounds, junior Brant Laughlin delivered a come-from-behind victory, edging Cooper Collins of Excelsior Springs 5-4 in a close decision. Laughlin (44-1) controlled key moments to claim his state championship.

Senior Jace Renfro topped the podium at 190 pounds, winning an 8-3 decision over Michael Scott of Odessa. Renfro (38-1) dominated with solid wrestling to add to Seneca's haul.

Senior Eli Manley reached the 138-pound final but fell to Makai Smalley of Odessa by fall at 4:28, earning runner-up honors with a 43-2 season mark. Freshman Koda Neilson placed sixth at 106 pounds, dropping a 10-8 decision in the fifth-place match to Boni Lopez of Cassville after a competitive run.

Seneca's five all-state finishes highlighted the team's depth and determination, contributing to their near-miss for the team crown in a razor-thin race. The program continued its tradition of excellence, adding to its history of state success.

The tournament featured several standout performances, including undefeated champions and dramatic finishes like pins, major decisions, and tight decisions. Other notable titles went to Kale Martin (Oak Grove) at 106, Caleb Dyer (Lutheran St. Charles) at 113, and Jacob Warren (Ste. Genevieve) at 285 in a tiebreaker victory.

For Seneca, the championships underscored the strength of southwest Missouri wrestling and set high expectations moving forward. With key contributors returning and young talent emerging, the Indians are positioned for continued contention in future seasons.
