The Joplin Eagles track and field program is headed to the state championships in full force, qualifying in 11 separate events across an impressive mix of individual and relay disciplines.

​From explosive field events to grueling distance runs and lightning-fast relays, Joplin will be heavily represented on the state's biggest stage.

​Here is the complete event-by-event breakdown of every Joplin athlete competing at the state meet:

​Shot Put: Neil Barstow

​Individual Track Events

​100m Hurdles: Isaiah Thom, Hayden Goumaz

​300m Hurdles: Isaiah Thom

​400m: Brylee Strickland, Nalyjah Madison

​3200m: Ava Doll

​Relay Events

​4×100m Relay: Brylee Strickland, Kendall Nyarango, Nalyjah Madison, Adwen Barstow

​Athlete Spotlight: Keep an eye on several Eagles pulling double—or even triple—duty at the meet. Notably, Tucker Martin will represent Joplin in both the Long and Triple Jump, while Isaiah Thom tackles both the 100m and 300m hurdle events. On the girls' side, Brylee Strickland and Nalyjah Madison face a busy schedule, competing together in the individual 400m as well as anchoring the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.
