The Webb City High School boys track and field team earned a top-ten finish at the MSHSAA Class 5 State Championships this weekend, placing sixth overall in the final team standings.
The Cardinals racked up 30.5 total team points over the two-day meet at Adkins Stadium to cement their place among the elite big-school programs in the state.
Webb City's standout performance was highlighted by Louden Bolinger, who captured a state championship in the shot put with a dominant throw of 65 feet, 10.5 inches.
Rockhurst claimed the Class 5 boys team title with 60 points, followed closely by Lee's Summit West (58) and Jackson (55). Nixa finished fourth with 39.5 points, while Columbia Rock Bridge edged out the Cardinals for fifth with 34 points.
