JOPLIN, Mo. — Carl Junction placed three golfers in the top 15 on Monday to post a combined team score of 383, capturing first place at the Joplin Invitational.
Lyric Belcher led the charge for the Bulldogs, carding a 15-over-par 87 to claim fourth place individually in the varsity field.
Carl Junction built its winning margin through the middle of the lineup. Katie Miller fired a 95 to finish 12th, while Rylie Matyi checked in one stroke back at 96 to take 13th overall.
Hadley Lawler placed 22nd with a round of 105, and Kallie Fredrickson rounded out the varsity squad with a 119 to finish 47th.
Carl Junction's junior varsity squad also took to the course, placing 13th in the team standings with a total score of 520. Marlee Massey paced the JV lineup with a 120, followed by Jess Upton (130), Emily Newman (134), and Adelie Knust (136).
