JOPLIN, Mo. — Violet Haut shot a 78 on Monday at Schifferdecker Golf Course to finish as tournament champion at the Joplin Invitational.
The victory marked her second tournament win of the season.
Monday’s round followed an outing five days earlier on Wednesday, Sept. 23, when the Webb City girls competed in the Nevada tournament at Frank E. Peters Golf Course. Haut took sixth place in that event with an 85 to claim a medal, while teammate Kenzi Reavis carded a personal record.
The Lady Cardinals return to Schifferdecker on Oct. 5 to play in the COC West tournament. District competition follows on Oct. 7 at Payne Stewart Golf Club in Springfield.
