Week 7 high school football action opens tonight with a pair of area road tests before Friday brings a full slate of conference and non-district battles across southwest Missouri.
Kickoffs across the region are scheduled for 7 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 8
Seneca at Aurora
Seneca takes its run-heavy offense on the road tonight to face the Aurora Houn’ Dawgs. The Indians aim to establish control up front from the opening series, while Aurora looks to create early stops and disrupt Seneca's rhythm.
Carl Junction at Parkview
Carl Junction heads east into Springfield to take on the Parkview Vikings. The Bulldogs need a clean, efficient start on the road to build early momentum and keep Parkview off balance.
Friday, Oct. 9
Central Ozark Conference
Webb City at Republic
Webb City travels west for a physical line-of-scrimmage battle against Republic. The Cardinals look to impose their will on the ground against a disciplined Tigers defense built to limit big plays.
Joplin at Neosho
The Joplin Eagles travel south down Interstate 49 to Bob Anderson Stadium for a rivalry clash with Neosho. Joplin brings speed to the perimeter, while the Wildcats will try to sustain long drives and capitalize on home-field energy.
Willard at Carthage
Carthage returns to David Haffner Stadium to host Willard. Carthage looks to control the line of scrimmage early and prevent Willard's perimeter playmakers from finding space.
Non-District
Lincoln at New Heights Christian Academy
New Heights Christian Academy steps out of conference play to host Lincoln in Joplin. The Cougars aim to set a physical defensive tone early and protect home turf.
